Originally opened in 1908, "the Grotta" is an institution in New York City’s Little Italy. This inviting restaurant features dark wood chairs, paneled ceilings, and circular images of Italian statues on the walls, while the blue-lit stone of the wine cellar evokes the beauty of Capri, Italy's Blue Grotto cave (which the restaurant is named after). Known for his authentic Italian cuisine, chef Frank Castellana serves up classics like spaghetti carbonara alongside signature dishes such as the braciole, sausage, and meatball special.
