1191 Ave. Cartier
Les Halles du Petit Cartier
Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
TEL: 418-521-5757

Eric Borderon is a French-born and trained artisan baker (boulanger) and pastry chef (pâtissier). His boulangerie-pâtissierie is located one block from Upper Town’s Grande Allée inside the red brick Les Halles du Petit Cartier building. This Eric Borderon outpost offers Euro-style breads such as authentic French baguettes, and he supplies viennoiseries (croissants, pains au chocolat and other sweet pastries) to some of Quebec’ City's most distinguished hotels and restaurants, including Fairmont's Le Chateau Frontenac. The shop also sells cold and hot sandwiches, among them a smoked meat sandwich served on pain de seige and feature Quebecois choucroute and cheese.

Insider Tip:

Les Halles du Petit Cartier is home to several artisanal food boutiques including Aux Petits Délices. Here, you can buy raw-milk cheeses to spread on Borderon’s bread.
