Craft Los Angeles
Century City
Power lunchers adore this outpost of New York celebrity chef (and Top Chef host) Tom Colicchio, whose daily-changing menus are famous for their seasonal, artisanal ingredients. Entertainment attorneys and talent agents (and their famous clients) fill the minimalist dining room with generously spaced tables, where they alternately type on their Blackberries and feast: perhaps on tender roasted Peruvian octopus with chorizo; or sweet corn agnolotti with mascarpone and speck; or dourade with contrasting vinaigrettes of apple and pancetta. The dessert menu often includes slightly odd-sounding choices like olive oil sorbet or salted chocolate tart—but don’t be scared; they’re delicious.
Tip: Everything is served family-style, so come with a group to share with (and to offset the $35 corkage fee).
