The Westchase location of Michael Cordúa's upscale Latin American franchise offers a cozier setting than its more contemporary River Oaks sibling, with simple, white linen-covered tables keenly arranged in front of multiple fireplaces. Inspired by the food Cordúa's uncle served at his Managua, Nicaragua restaurant, Churrasco promises a modernized take on Latin American cuisine. For example, among the delightful antojitos are shrimp taquitos wrapped in bacon and corn-smoked crab fingers. Of course, the true stars are Cordua's complimentary plantain chips and the char-grilled, center-cut beef tenderloin seasoned with chimichurri.
