Casablanca
From the May 2008 Food & Wine Go List
On the top floor of a traditional villa from Lebanon’s French Mandate period, this restaurant on the city’s seafront corniche has glorious views of the water from its Pop Art–decorated dining room. Many of the regulars are friends of co-owner and local fashion icon Johnny Farah’s (who runs the If boutique). The menu is an East-West roster of dishes made with local seafood and organic vegetables from Farah’s farm.
We loved: Buttery roasted lobster.
Insider tip: Go for Sunday brunch.
