Boschetto
where Vassilias Sophias meets Gennadiou St.
Athens, Greece
Scientists have yet to discover if it’s possible to get tired of Greek food. But for those who do want a respite from feta, Boschetto serves upscale Italian-inspired seafood and pasta in one of the most romantic settings anywhere, an enchanted, tree-shrouded grove in Evangelismos Park, opposite the Hilton. At dinner, there are five risottos to choose from (the shrimp, lime, and dry martini is a popular favorite) and specials featuring unexpected ingredients from black ink to gold leaf (sometimes together in one colorful dish). It’s perfect and pricey.
Insider Tip:
Come winter, when the terrace is no longer open, book the Greenhouse—an elevated seating area inside the restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows that make it feel as if you’re still eating outside.
