“It's certainly a classic, but the Michelin House is a fantastic affair, with beautiful Art Deco stained glass. I love its coffee shop on the ground floor and the wonderful restaurant, Bibendum, upstairs....” MORE>>

From the May 2008 Food & Wine Go List

In the former Michelin headquarters (the original stained-glass Michelin Man is still intact), Bibendum has been one of London's most satisfying restaurants for 20 years. The menu focuses on shellfish and refined bistro dishes; the French-biased wine list also includes top Californian Pinot Noirs and Australian Shirazes, such as the 2003 Fox Gordon Eight Uncles.

We loved: Halibut with anchoïade crust; roast “best end” of lamb with ricotta-stuffed pasta.
