West Village

Bar Pitti

268 Ave. of the Americas
New York, NY, United States
TEL: (212) 982-3300

The prime outdoor seating at this Greenwich Village Italian spot is as much of a draw as the food. The restaurant was opened in 1992 by Silvano Marchetto and was conceived as a more casual younger sibling to the famous Da Silvano, located next door. The simple, yellow-walled space is packed to the gills with wooden tables that spill out onto the sidewalk, weather permitting. The menu includes Tuscan-style dishes like spicy penne all'arrabbiata and polpettine (veal meatballs), and is supplemented by some 20 rotating specials, displayed on a chalkboard.

Insider Tip:

Bar Pitti only accepts reservations for parties of four or larger.
