This one-star Michelin restaurant from chef/owners Hiro Sone and Lissa Doumani is located on the ground floor of the St. Regis Hotel on corner of Third and Mission Streets. Ame’s New American menu uses local and seasonal ingredients for both raw foods like sashimi and crudo and cooked dishes like broiled, sake-marinated, Alaskan black cod. Pair them with more than 500 bottles of international wines and limited-edition sakes. The L-shaped dining room includes recessed lighting, mesquite floors, icicle-style lights over the bar, bronzed window screens, and the eight-seat, lacquered “red table,” which was specially designed for the restaurant.
