Since her first solo exhibition at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. in 1973, acclaimed American painter Pat Steir's career has included more than 150 one-person shows in galleries and museums in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Steir also makes installation work and is an accomplished printmaker.
