UNA Hotel Vittoria
About three miles from the centro storico (historic center), UNA Hotel Vittoria has a traditional stucco façade that belies an ultra-modern interior inspired by contemporary art. From the lobby’s floral mosaic (which runs in a swirl around the front desk, floor, and ceiling) to the vertical spiral—shaped seating, the hotel’s design is far from expected. The gallery-like hallways are lined with gilt-framed doors covered with portraits of historical figures, and all of the 83 guestrooms have black or fuchsia tiled walls embedded with fiber optic lighting. Unlike most Florentine hotels, the property is handicap accessible.
