Resembling a stylized Balinese village, this luxury resort in Nusa Dua features tropical gardens, a white sand beach lined with daybeds, and a vast network of lagoon pools connecting seven regular pools and manmade waterfalls. Each of the 287 guestrooms includes a thatched ceiling, all-white linens, and dark wood furniture, as well as walls of local stone and slippers made with native Pandanus leaves. In addition to the main spa, the resort also has several beachside massage huts. The four restaurants overlook either the beach or the lagoon and serve fresh seafood, international cuisine, and casual deli fare.

The first-floor lagoon access rooms have swim-up ladders but are also darker and less private than other rooms.
Insider Tip:
Wine is typically expensive in Bali because of import costs, but the Cornerstone wine cellar hosts private dinners that include a reasonably priced tasting menu with wine pairings.
