British Virgin Islands

Pusser's Marina Cay

British Virgin Islands

What to Expect: This circular island ringed by a shallow white-sand beach is protected by nearby islands, making its calm waters ideal for guests wanting to snorkel or learn to scuba dive, as well as for families. Set on lush eight-acre Marina Cay, the resort’s eight rooms feature a breezy beach décor—wicker furniture, louvered windows, and verandas with expansive views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea. The on-the-beach restaurant specializes in traditional West Indian-style and Caribbean dishes like conch chowder, spicy jerk chicken, and cod-and-potato fish cakes.

What to Do: Wind surf—if you’re not up and sailing after a two-hour lesson, the resort will refund your fee. Or rent a Hobie Cat or Sunfish and explore the marina.

Getting There: The hotel operates a water taxi from Tortola eight times a day.

Insider Tip: Listen to pirate lore and sailors’ tales while you sing along and sip a famous Pusser’s Painkiller during “Happy Arrr” at the 360-degree-view bar at the top of the island.
