San José del Cabo

One&Only Palmilla

A meandering river connects the kids’ pool to an infinity pool overlooking the sea. Ride horses on the beach- one of the safest in Los Cabos for swimming- then kick back in red-tiled suites with shaded daybeds, ideal for siestas.

At the tip of Mexico's Baja peninsula, One & Only Palmilla takes moonlight serenades seriously. The 172-room resort can arrange a Latin guitar trio to strum ballads on sandy coves facing the Sea of Cortés, atop a historic bell tower, or in a Casa Gardenia suite. For families, there's a meandering river that connects the kids' pool to an infinity pool overlooking the sea. Ride horses on the beach—on of the safest in Los Cabos for swimming—then kick back in red-tiled suites with shaded daybeds, ideal for siesta.

Room to Book: Beachfront Pool Casita Junior Suites have terraces outfitted with lavish day beds, a telescope, and private infinity-edge plunge pool.

Doubles from $675.

Insider Tip:

Moon Light Dining pods are situated in hideaway locations for private dinners for two.

  • Great service

Excellent service (even better for not being too overbearing). Great views. Room was very nice; only (!)complaint was that bathroom fixtures could use an upgrade, but that seems to be true of most Mexican hotels not built in the last couple years.
