Margaret River
Moondance Lodge
Moondance Lodge is an outpost of civilized style in the southwestern Margaret River wine region, a gum tree–flecked area where vintners bottle superior Shiraz. The main structure, on 33 acres, is built using indi- genous materials: bathroom tiles are made from local ceramic, and Jarrah wood posts are used throughout. Most of the nine suites have private decks surrounded by native bush. There’s also a gently graded on-site orchard, fragrant with lavender, where guests are encouraged to pluck peaches and plums right off the trees.
