Bora Bora
Le Méridien Bora Bora
In full view of mystical Mount Otemanu, this photogenic Bora Bora resort near the northern tip of Motu Pitiaau caters to families by offering free snorkeling equipment, canoes, and windsurfing boards small enough for kids. Renovated in 2010, the 99 bungalows range from smaller Lagoon Bungalows to one- and two-bedroom Pool Beach Villas that can house up to eight people. Each bungalow features modern, Polynesian-themed furnishings as well as decorative wood, coral, and shell pieces made by local artisans. Paid amenities include trips to feed sharks and rays, and the Kaïnalu Canoe Club takes visitors sailing on a traditional canoe.
Room to Book:
Each of the 85 Over-Water units includes a spiral staircase leading into the lagoon as well as glass panels in the bungalow floor.
Insider Tip:
The resort's private lagoon is also home to the esteemed Bora Bora Turtle Center, which includes a turtle nursery, observation area, and learning center, all open to guests.
