Ecotourism done right

I had the pleasure of spending several days at this new lodge during its first season (2009). Set in the midst of a glacier-filled national park and adjacent to the 700 square mile Harding Ice Field, this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. Alaska Wildland Adventures built this lodge with great respect for the land using construction techniques that most companies would deem unaffordable and, therefore, not practical.
