Finding what looks like the interior of a seaside resort in the middle of this swanky Gold Coast neighborhood can be a little disorienting, but as soon as the blue-and-white sailor-striped décor begins to make you forget the city outside, the genius of the beach concept becomes apparent. The 165 rooms feature white cottage-style furniture, blonde hardwood floors, and wall-size photo murals of mussels, sea glass, and other summery images; rain showers, teak benches, and Aveda products in the bathrooms encourage that spa feeling.
