Created by the same manager behind the all-but-inaccessible nightclub Le Baron, this hotel’s restaurant, bar, and lush terrace serve as the Paris headquarters for many of the hottest names on the fashion and art scenes. The bar itself is somewhat spare, but details like the X-rated purple plastic Mickey Mouse that graces the reception desk set the tone. Faces are beautiful and the service can be sketchy, but hey, it’s not about you. Whether you dress up or down, you stand the best chance of mingling with the locals if you show up by 9 and just keep ordering drinks until the scene gets under way around 11 p.m.
