Enchantment Resort and Mi Amo Spa

This Southwest-style resort, made of low-slung adobe casitas in central Arizona’s Boynton Canyon, blends into the iconic red-rock cliffs of Sedona, a town known for its artsy, New Age vibe. Built in 1987 and set on 70 acres, Enchantment’s 218 rooms and suites (fresh from a renovation in 2011) look out onto undulating canyon walls and green cottonwood trees, while neutral interiors are inspired by the surrounding terrain and are filled with accents that refer to local Native American culture (kiva fireplaces; area rugs inspired by traditional basket-weaving). Within Enchantment’s grounds, but separate from the main complex— also home to several pools, six tennis courts, pitch-and-putt golf, and hiking trails—is the transformative Mii Amo, a 24,000-square-foot destination spa with 16 casitas as well as a dedicated pool and regionally inspired restaurant. A three-, four-, or seven-day stay at Mii Amo—or a “Journey,” as it’s called—is priced on an all-inclusive basis (accommodation, spa treatments, and meals), while Enchantment guests can book treatments on an à la carte basis.
