Don Arcangelo all'Olmo
When the Marquis and Marchioness Paterno’ Castello di San Giuliano returned to their ancestral home in Sicily after years abroad, they renovated their villa that had stood empty 100 years. Bookended by Mount Etna to the west and the Ionian Sea to the east, the property now stands as the premier villa to rent on the island (at least according to Condé Nast Traveller) with two separate buildings that sleep up to 24 guests. Both include copious lava stone, vaulted ceilings, colorful Caltagirone tile work, and a full staff of cooks, waiters, and maids. Lemon fans have 200 surrounding acres to pick from.
Insider Tip:
It’s all or nothing at Don Arcangelo all’Olmo, as rooms and buildings cannot be rented separately
