This blue-shingled Colonial Revival property is just a short walk from the surfing haven of Topanga beach—but it feels more like Cape Cod. The wicker-clad main room has turn-of-the-century woodwork; upstairs, the 15 suites are furnished with four-poster beds (some with balconies). In the afternoon the staff bakes chocolate-chip cookies—a welcome treat after a walk along the shore.
