Cabo Azul Resort

A 12-acre slice of prime Los Cabos oceanfront property is the setting for this sprawling-yet-upscale, all-suite resort. The 332 “villas” (which start at 1,200 square feet and go up to more than 3,000) are dramatic design statements in black and white; and if designer Dodd Mitchell’s heavy, ebony-colored furnishings seem a tad heavy for the seaside, they’re offset by crisp white upholstery and buff-colored stone floors. The resort’s three-level infinity pool is where the action is—by day, when bronzed guests lounge on special chaise “pods” and order cocktails from the swim-up bar; and by night, when fire dancers perform on platforms for outdoor diners.
