And it'll make you want to work out on vacation.

Sticking to your fitness routine on the road can be tough. But luckily, hotel companies are getting smarter about providing travelers with a slew of health-conscious amenities: in-room yoga mats and exercise bands, complimentary fitness classes, even clothes (and sneakers) to rent so you don’t have to worry about packing gear in your suitcase.

In-room fitness videos are now becoming all the rage, too. And Travel + Leisure can exclusively reveal that J.W. Marriott is diving even deeper into the wellness space by unrolling Behind the Barre, their own series of workout videos done in partnership with the Joffrey Ballet.

Through an internal training initiative, the ballet company already works with the brand’s staff on posture and movement — so it was only a matter of time before they began to offer services for travelers, too.

“We know that our guests continue to be focused on wellness and well-being,” Mitzi Gaskins, JW Marriott Brand Leader, told T+L. “They crave a unique fitness program, and we thought it would be an incredible experience for them to be led by the Joffrey Ballet, the premiere company in the U.S.”

There will be three different videos available in each room, focusing on full-body barre method, core strength, and stretching. The videos, which were filmed at the brand’s resort in Los Cabos, play for about three-four minutes and give instruction on how to repeat the exercises for a longer, more intensive workout, to be done on your own.

The concept rolls out to the JW Marriott Essex House in New York City this week, and then will be distributed to all the properties worldwide in the next month.
