BRB, buying a flight to Napa.

October 07, 2016

With more than 400 wineries and tasting rooms to choose from in Napa Valley, planning a vacation to the renowned wine region can be overwhelming.

We've got plenty of recommendations, but there's one spot that stands out for its quirky exterior: the Tank Garage Winery in Calistoga, California.

The building was once a gas station in the 1930s. Pay it a visit today, and you'll find yourself in a unique winery, with a tasting room named the Lubrication Tank. They've also got a “speakeasy” back room that you'll have to ask to see, according to the website.

Tank Garage has a number of wines in stock, from red to sparkling white, all made in the surrounding Napa Valley region.

The winery is part of the Farm Collective—a group of five wineries in south Napa Valley.

You'll want to keep the bottles long after the wine is gone: the winery has artists create custom labels for the wines, and the winery's ambiance is also worth a trip in itself. Inside you'll find vintage pinball machines and relics from California's motor history, including an Instagram-worthy red motorcycle.
