Find the right restaurant to set the mood on Valentine’s Day.

If you’re still at a loss for where to make your dinner reservation on Feb. 14, OpenTable has you covered. Out of all the restaurants around the country, the reservation website has narrowed down the top 100 restaurants that set the proper tone for the most romantic day of the year.

For OpenTable’s 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America for 2018, the website gathered opinions of more than 12 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners for more than 26,000 restaurants in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

The winners come from more than 32 states in both large and small cities, including The Inn at Little Washington in Washington, D.C.; The River Cafe in Brooklyn, New York; and The Stonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia are tied at the top of the list — each boasting eight winning restaurants — while Georgia, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, and Rhode Island each have two.

Out of the cuisines that really make the grade, diners seem to favor French, Italian, and most of all, American steakhouses for their romantic meals. But it's clear that in the end ambience really turns a good Valentine’s Day restaurant into a great one.
