Sometimes you just want a good, old-fashioned meal when you’re out on the road.

Or, 644 of them.

An Indiana couple has been making it their mission to visit every Cracker Barrel in the country, the Lebanon Democrat reported. As of this month, they’ve almost made their goal by visiting the restaurant chain’s 644th location — in Lavonia, Georgia — at its grand opening.

That’s a lot of biscuits.

Ray and Wilma Yoder, both 80, of Goshen, Indiana, began their journey 40 years ago, when Ray was working as a delivery person for recreational vehicles across the country.

“It took the boredom out of being on the road. It has a down-home spirit, and everybody is friendly. It’s like being at home,” Ray told the Lebanon Democrat.

Wilma eventually started to join him on these trips. Even if they don’t sit down to eat at a Cracker Barrel, they always make a point to buy something and leave a tip. They’re even a little bit famous, sometimes receiving gifts and information about openings.

The only location the couple hasn’t visited is in Tualatin, Oregon — but they are planning to visit it later this year.
