In what may very well be an attempt to win over travelers after a series of incidents, lawsuits, and other fiascoes (scorpions, for example) United has launched a flash sale with one-way flights as low as $59.
The sale is valid on select domestic routes, and includes an $85 flight from Denver to Dallas, an $85 flight from Chicago to Boston, and a $109 trip to Austin from United’s New York City area hub at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey.
For the best deals, search for shorter, regional flights like the $59 San Francisco to Seattle route, or the $63 flight from Chicago to Detroit.
Check out the full list of available fares, and be sure to act quickly — reservations must be made by June 29. Travel dates are available between August 22 and December 16, and the best possible deals will be found in United’s new Basic Economy class. Note that these fares are non-changeable and non-refundable and, most importantly, don’t include a standard-sized carry-on item.
The most affordable Standard Economy fare is a $75 one-way flight from San Francisco to Seattle.
