This could be the cheapest way to get to Jamaica this spring.
Low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines announced this week the addition of 11 new routes. The budget airline is targeting popular vacation destinations, including San Diego and Los Angeles, in California, and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
“We are excited to celebrate our growth in these key markets and offer even more ultra-low fares to some of our guests’ favorite destinations,” Spirit Airlines’ vice president of network planning, Mark Kopczak, said in a statement.
All of the new routes are daily and nonstop, and nearly half are available year-round. Flights from Washington, D.C. to Montego Bay and Denver begin on March 22. The other nine itineraries will launch in April.
While there are no specific deals tied to these new routes, Spirit is holding two simultaneous airfare sales. The first ends December 1 at midnight, and features $100 round-trip flights on last-minute winter getaways.
Spirit is also offering 33% off round-trip bookings made by midnight on December 3. While there are exclusions for some of the airline’s more exotic itineraries (flights to Costa Rica, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic, for example) most travelers can get savings just with the coupon code 33PCT during checkout.
