This is a bargain.
Until August 30, or until flights sell out, Qantas is offering trips to Australia for as little as $949 round-trip. There are also Premium Economy tickets available for $1,949 round-trip.
Flights Down Under routinely cost between $1,100 and $1,500 — and the least expensive tickets are typically on budget airlines that make two to three stops along the way.
But with Qantas (a premium airline and Australia’s flag carrier) you can enjoy a full-service, nonstop flight, depending on your point of origin.
The end of summer flash sale is valid on flights from all of Qantas’ U.S. gateways, including New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, and San Francisco. For the same price, travelers can choose between landing in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
Californians can find flights to Australia between February 1 and June 30, with blackout dates in early April for trips between Los Angeles and Sydney.
From New York City, flights to all Australian cities are available for $949 round-trip between February 1 and April 1, and between April 16 and June 30.
Flights departing from Dallas are also available between February 1 and June 30.
And while Qantas is advertising $949 round-trip fares, we easily found even more affordable options during this travel window.
In May, for example, there are $838 round-trip flights between New York City and Sydney with Qantas; and $836 non-stop fares between Los Angeles and Melbourne.
To book your ticket, act quickly, as these low fares are likely to sell out quick. The sale will conclude on August 30 at 11:59 p.m. PST (or 3 a.m. EST).
