Sick of these April showers? Instead of waiting for the sun — or those promised summer flowers — take a trip to Europe to see the famous tulip fields for $354 round-trip.
Using KAYAK’s “Explore” tool (which shows you everywhere you can fly within your budget) we found a number of affordable trips to the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany during tulip season. From late April until early May, travelers can admire the colorful rows of blooms in Europe’s tulip farms.
For $354 round-trip, New Yorkers can fly to Copenhagen this spring, while Boston-based travelers can book tickets for $367. During tulip season, there are even $380 round-trip flights to Amsterdam from Washington, D.C.
Belgium may not be as well known as Holland for their tulips, but their floral display is just as impressive. Miamians can book $341 round-trip flights to Brussels in April to see for themselves.
Can’t make tulip season? No worries. According to a number of sources, flights to Amsterdam from Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Seattle can be scored for $400 or less later in the year.
