It’s official: Prince William and Prince Harry will indeed be making an appearance in the upcoming film "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" when it’s released on Dec. 15.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, both Prince William and Prince Harry visited the film’s set in April of 2016, where they somehow convinced the crew to let them take part in the interstellar action.
You may not want to head to the theaters just to see the royal pair, however, because according to cast members both of the princes will be donning the infamous white Stormtrooper armor, making them totally unrecognizable.
But, to make it a bit more exciting, the royals are also rumored to be playing Stormtroopers in a scene alongside actor Tom Hardy and "Take That" singer Gary Barlow. Spoiler Alert: According to sources, the group will be guarding John Boyega's character, Finn, in an elevator. Though other sites claim their scene takes place in an elevator with Benicio del Toro's new character, so you may just have to head to the cinema to find out for yourself.
Boyega confirmed the royal rumors in a recent roundtable discussion with the Hollywood Reporter when he said seeing the foursome "wrapped in Stormtroopers costumes" made for a "strange contrast of a weird family."
Boyenga added that it was a bit intimidating to film with the royal heirs, but noted he could still look past it because being a part of the Star Wars franchise is the thrill of a lifetime.
"You're a child. There's a new planet every day and a new scene to play," Boyega said. "It makes you feel like you're a part of history in a sense."
Prince William and Harry aren’t the first famous people to secretly put on the Stormtrooper suit. According to Business Insider, Daniel Craig also played a Stormtrooper in "The Force Awakens."
