The Queen is currently hiring a curtain and cushion maker to decorate the more than 1,000 rooms that line the corridors of Buckingham Palace

The candidate will be responsible for furnishing “some of the most famous houses in the world,” as the job description reads, including the rooms within Windsor Castle and St. James’s Palace.

The applicant will need to have experience with producing soft furnishing work on both machines and through hand stitching to qualify, and will be responsible for designing new items to fill the luxurious spaces.

The curtain maker and upholsterer will also work with the various historic furnishings that line the palace’s corridors, surveying their condition and helping to both repair and preserve the items.

The permanent position pays 22,000 British pounds (roughly $27,689) per year with benefits.
