Comment on: (Venue) Hotel Locarno

Please do not be fooled by the art deco "grandeur" of this hotel. It is truly one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in (and worse than most of hte hostels!). Where the website describes a "refined historical environmnent" we found an old building in disrepair. The carpet that lines the stairways is stained and dirty; ceiling panels in upstairs hallways are missing exposing a jumble of wires; all three of our rooms were filthy and the bathrooms were overgrown with mold; rooms were inadequately lit and the airconditioning was not sufficient to touch the August heat. Our rooms never cooled below 82 f. To make matters worse, the front desk staff was generally disinterested, if not outright rude.
