The Four Seasons Resort is situated on a pristine peninsula surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Although it was tempting to simply stay at the resort and enjoy their spa and four freshwater pools, our most memorable days were spent taking eco-adventures organized by the resort. Floating down a nearby river we were greeted by crocodiles, iguanas and a dozen species of birds. Ziplining in the rain forest we traversed waterfalls and steep canyons. Hiking near the volcano we encountered a magnificent waterfall and watched howler monkeys swinging through the nearby papaya trees. It's an adventure not to be missed and a fabulous trip to take with older grandchildren.
