    J6Earth - Hawks Cay - Terrible Experience

Comment on: (Venue) Hawks Cay Resort

My family went to Hawks Cay and had a terrible experience. The room was supposed to be a garden view and it looked over the parking lot. Grounds for a refund? There was not a coffee maker in the room. The room never did cool off properly and went to bed at over 80 degrees F. The hallways don't have A/C so it is extremely hot. The rooms were attempted to be updated, but the door handles didn't lock and the shower was obviously old where they cut corners during renovation. The main pool area was terribly laid out with the bar a good two minute walk from the main entrance. Needless to say it took over 1.5 hours to finish our lunch and were ignored for 1/2 hour without drinks or water while our stoned out waiter proceeded to deliver water to the wrong table. At the end the waiter couldn't find our tab which then took another 15 minutes to see him return. Most of the staff were not friendly and were very slow/non-responsive. Even the managers on our complaints ignored us when they saw us the next day. The iron in the room damaged my wife's white shorts. When I asked management why there aren't coffee makers in the room, I was told they are unsafe and are only in the villas. I mentioned that even the hotel 6 has coffee makers in the room. The place is overpriced and is trying to suck every last penny out of you. The food that we had was terrible and way overpriced.

Hawks Cay is a scam and would recommend your family find another place. There is nothing family friendly about this resort.
