Zurich’s Dolder Grand hotel is launching a new annual food festival, dubbed the Epicure.
The Dolder’s own Heiko Nieder, whose talents have earned the hotel’s restaurant two Michelin stars, will host top European chefs during four days of culinary programming, beginning September 18th.
Benoît Violier, Massimo Bottura, and Joachim Wissler, who helm three-starred restaurants in Italy, Switzerland, and Germany, respectively, will join Nieder in preparing an eight-course dinner during the festival’s first three evenings.
Saturday, September 20th is the most eventful day of the Epicure, with four expert-led, and alcohol-heavy, master-classes: Caviar & Champagne; Wine; Cheese & Wine; and Cocktail Trends.
T+L’s recommendation? Splurge on Sunday’s Epicure Final, when Nieder and ten other chefs will serve their dishes in the hotel’s Gallery Lounges from 1pm to 6pm—five hours of Michelin-worthy food and beverage deliciousness.
The dinners are already fully booked, so anyone hoping to take a master class (from $63 per person) or the Final ($323) should act fast. For tickets and more information, visit the Epicure's website.
