How to Get the Most from Tweeting on the Road
Give your trip a hashtag. “It’s like having a live, social scrapbook,” says De Jesus. Make it easy for you—and your followers—to revisit each specific outing.
Let your travels stand out with rich media. De Jesus says, “tweets [with] photos and Vine videos tend to garner more engagement.” Add photos and Vine videos to your tweets for extra impact.
Always mention handles (@) for places you visit, and add one or two existing hashtags. “One of my personal favorites,” reveals De Jesus, “is #6secondpostcards for Vine travel videos.” Try the general #travel to join in on the larger conversation.
