All aboard! Belmond just announced it is launching its first train in Ireland, the Belmond Grand Hiberian, in summer 2016. Named for Ireland’s classical Latin name of Hibernia, it’ll have 20 luxury sleeper cabins (including four interconnecting suites for families), two restaurant cars, and an observation bar car.

Up to 40 guests will have the option of two, four, and six-night rail adventures that will travel through the island’s beautiful emerald green countryside, along the coast, and to cosmopolitan centers like Dublin, Belfast, and Cork. The company—which also offers train itineraries in Venice, the UK, Southeast Asia, and Peru—likens the experience to a cruise on land, with tours of historic estates, visits with local artists, rounds of golf, and other daily excursions.
