World's Wildest Bungee Jumping Spots

Kawarau Bridge, New Zealand

While this particular leap is just 140 feet, it deserves special mention. Queenstown’s Kawarau Bridge is home to the world’s first commercial bungee jump, opened in 1988 by bungee innovator AJ Hackett. Each year it draws tens of thousands of visitors who want the bragging rights of having jumped where it all started. After plummeting—and enjoying the ensuing pendulum swing—you’ll be lowered onto a nearby raft.

Details: AJ Hackett Bungy charges $115 for the privilege; the price also includes transport from downtown Queenstown and a T-shirt.
