The Vineyard’s most westerly point, with its “painted” clay cliffs that rise above the Atlantic, is a popular and spectacular place to finish the day. The cliffs themselves glow with fiery hues, and at dusk, the Gay Head Lighthouse perched atop them sends out a sweeping red-and-white beam.
