Conspiracy theorists have long buzzed about this dusty, forlorn 480-acre ranch south of Ballard, UT, allegedly a hub of paranormal and UFO activity and named after a Native American legend. The ranch borders the Ute Indian Reservation and is nicknamed the UFO ranch. skinwalkerranch.org

Mystery: The ranch was acquired by the National Institute for Discovery Science (NIDSci) to focus on anecdotal sightings of UFOs, and unexplained phenomena like bigfoot, crop circles, glowing orbs and poltergeist activity. Eye-witness incidents purportedly include vanishing and mutilated cattle, unidentified flying objects or orbs, large animals with yellow eyes, and magnetic-field-emitting invisible objects.
