HAVANA NONSTOP This summer, Virgin Atlantic became the first and only British airline to offer nonstop flights from London to Havana. Over the past eight years, there has been a nearly 20 percent annual increase in the number of British citizens traveling to Cuba.

In July, Gerald's Airport opened after an $18.5 million renovation, welcoming four daily flights from Antigua and two from St. Maarten. (Until now, ferries and helicopters were the only way to reach the island.)
