T+L Reports: Darwin Martin House Complex

Like this article?

In Buffalo, New York, preservationists are carefully rebuilding the demolished remains of Frank Lloyd Wright's 1905 Darwin Martin House Complex (125 Jewett Pkwy.; 716/856-3858; www.darwinmartinhouse.org; tours $22). Until the project is completed this fall, fans of the influential architect can take hard-hat tours of the Prairie Style house site and learn about the restoration—which included a nine-year search for the perfect golden-yellow Roman bricks.
