Move over, Berlin: With the opening of three über-chic lounges, Hamburg may be Germany's new nightlife capital. At the Modernist Neo (11Martinistrasse; 49-40/4677-9936; www.neogastro.de), in the tony Eppendorf neighborhood, young media professionals nibble on organic arugula salads served with seared shrimp and sip island-inspired cocktails like the Neosolino—a mojito made with passion fruit and a hint of vanilla syrup. • Polyglot habitués crowded into brown-suede banquettes raise flutes of Veuve Clicquot at the harborfront River Kasematten (28–32 St. Pauli Fischmarkt; 49-40/4677-9936; www.river-kasematten.com). The dimly lit space occupies the brick shell of a prewar jazz club, now filled with the sounds of chill-out tracks spun by a rotating stable of resident DJ's. • Across town, Friday and Saturday nights make the clubby discothèque Golden Cut (61 Holzdamm; 49- 40/8510-3532; www.goldencut.org) more fashion runway than dance floor.
