When illustrator Marc Stüwe and graphic designer Raimond Radtke—passionate collectors of furniture classics—ran out of space in their apartments, Cologne's latest design oasis was born. Belle Histoire (1 Hirschgässchen; 49-221/860-5684) is filled with an eclectic mix of vintage pieces displayed in destination-themed exhibitions. The current show, "Sunny Side Up," is inspired by Mexican interiors, with a 1963 plastic La Fonda chair and Pop art prints from the seventies. Part gallery, part living travelogue, the boutique leaves you feeling as if you've circled the globe with a well-connected personal shopper.
