Moleskine bumps the travel journal up a notch with its sleek, hardbound City Notebooks ($16.95; www.moleskine.com). Foldout maps, blank pages for notes, and tabbed dividers for DIY sections (say, "Favorite Coffee Spots" or "Shoe Shopping") let you customize yours for future visits (or for lending to a friend). Twelve European cities are currently available; eight North American ones arrive this spring.
