95. WATER WORLD
Water, water, everywhere—that's the concept behind W Miami—South Beach's Away Spa, scheduled to open late this year. The hotel and spa, which will be surrounded by a moat, are being designed by Michael Czysz of Architropolis, a firm that has created a house for Cindy Crawford and a studio for Lenny Kravitz. In the plans: a 5,000-square-foot pool and cabana area, and a spa staff on call for massages right on the beach. W MIAMI—SOUTH BEACH, 1701 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305/534-3500.
96. ALL NATURAL
The Auberge du Soleil takes its cues from its Napa Valley setting, employing locally grown herbs, fruits, and vegetables in its daily spa menu. The inn's 100-year-old olive trees inspire the olive oil—and—lemon zest foot rejuvenation treatment; a nearby vineyard is the source for a grape-seed body exfoliation. In spring, a rose-chamomile massage crops up; look for a fabulous pumpkin facial in autumn. AUBERGE DU SOLEIL, Rutherford, Calif.; 800/348-5406.
97. CASTAWAY CHIC
The Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa will satisfy your Survivor fantasies with an island spa by Christina Ong, opening midyear. A wooden dhoni, or native boat, ferries you across a lagoon to a private atoll, where you'll find a tented lounge and thatched spa pavilions with massage tables. The best part: the windows underneath the tables that let you watch tropical fish darting below during your rubdown. FOUR SEASONS RESORT MALDIVES AT KUDA HURAA, 800/332-3442.
98. LET'S GET RITUAL
Until Cap Juluca opens its new spa late this year, guests at this Moorish fantasy on Anguilla will have to content themselves with a series of in-room "rituals" created by Collier & Collier, who also masterminded the spas at the Four Seasons resorts in Bali. While you're waiting, book the two-hour Juluca treatment, which includes a basil-and-mint scrub, tropical oil massage, and flower bath. CAP JULUCA, Maunday's Bay, Anguilla; 888/858-5822.
99. PHILLY GETS GREEN
Will Smith, spa owner? The actor is linked to the latest expansion deal from the Greenhouse. In a landmark Federal-era house in Philadelphia (once owned by Betsy Ross's uncle), the venerable Texas spa plans an end-of-year opening for its opulent retreat that will connect to the 250-room W hotel being developed by the Philadelphia-born Smith.
Opening in April, the Ritz-Carlton Spa in Naples, Florida, will put on a lavish show for its clientele with acres of marble and gilt trim, plus a tri-level atrium, mineral pool, and hot and cold plunge pools. An aromatherapy horticulturist was commissioned to breed new roses for the spa's garden; the petals will be used in signature rose-essence treatments. There's also a rooftop deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico for sunrise yoga classes.
