Architecture pilgrims can now spend the night in a Frank Lloyd Wright skyscraper: the Price Tower in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Built in 1956 for an oil pipeline company, the slender glass-sheathed building is currently owned by the Price Tower Arts Center, and houses a two-story hotel, art galleries, and a restaurant. I. M. Pei disciple Wendy Evans Joseph designed the 21 guest rooms with Japanese-style textiles, Tibetan wool carpets, and wood and copper tubing. The restaurant, Copper, was inspired by Wright's Prairie School design. Coming next: a major expansion of the center's next-door museum by a contemporary giant in the field, Zaha Hadid.
