Luminary restaurateurs are so 20th-century. Anyone worth a bold-faced name these days wants to be linked to a hotel—from Robert De Niro, who is developing a property in lower Manhattan, to architecture junkie Brad Pitt, said to be consulting with nightlife tastemaker Rande Gerber on a hotel. So it's no surprise that the ever-inventive Kimpton Hotels has teamed up with a host of stars to create one-of-a-kind pieds-À-terre. The Britney Spears Foundation Room in Boston's Onyx Hotel (617/557-9955; www.onyxhotel.com; doubles from $339) has been decorated by the singer's mother to look like Brit's old Louisiana bedroom, back when she was a lot more innocent. In San Francisco, the Hotel Triton (800/800-1299; www.hoteltriton.com; doubles from $209) has suites designed by musicians Carlos Santana and Anthony Kiedis, whose eco-friendly room (with furniture made from recycled touring equipment) is known as the Red Hot Love Nest. Woody Harrelson is the latest to check in at the Triton: Woody's Oasis is filled with his own memorabilia and has organic cotton bedding, yoga mats, hemp curtains, and furniture made from fallen trees. Kimpton donates a portion of each guest's tab to the celeb's charity of choice. Who would've imagined that sleeping in a movie star's bed could also help save a rain forest?
